Pets can be very good at hiding their symptoms when they’re feeling unwell. Mansfield Animal Clinic is here to help demystify what your pet is going through with our diagnostic testing.
Our pets can’t tell us when they’re feeling unwell. Unless there’s an obvious sign like excessive vomiting or diarrhea, we often don’t recognize illness in our pets at all. Pets can be very good at hiding their symptoms when they’re feeling unwell. Mansfield Animal Clinic is here to help demystify what your pet is going through with our diagnostic testing.
We use state-of-the-art technology and our in-house laboratory to better understand your pet’s health. With these tools, we’re able to diagnose your pets more quickly than with just a physical exam. With a faster diagnosis, your pets will receive the treatment they need much faster, and will be back on the road to good health as soon as possible.
We also use these diagnostic tools as part of our regular wellness and preventative care plans. Regular diagnostic testing gives us a better picture of your pet’s overall health by showing us what is your pet’s normal baseline of health. This means we’ll be able to identify deviations in your pet’s results more easily, and before it devolves into a bigger problem. Our Mansfield veterinary team is equipped with the best in diagnostic technology to ensure your pet is getting the treatment they need.
Our in-house laboratory makes getting fast results easier. Instead of sending out basic lab work to an offsite laboratory, our Mansfield veterinary team is able to complete many essential tests in our clinic, enabling us to get the results back faster. This means faster treatment for your pet’s ailments.
We are able to provide the following tests:
Complete blood count (CBC)
The tests listed above cover just some of our in-house testing capabilities. We are able to conduct other tests as well, though some more specialized tests require assistance from an outside laboratory. We’ll let you know if we have to send your pet’s tests out to our outside laboratory partner. You can still expect a high quality of care and attention to your pet’s health.
Another important element of diagnostic testing is radiological imaging. We use digital radiology on site so you don’t have to wait for old-fashioned film to develop. Radiology allows us to actually see inside your pet and get a proper look at their bones and organs, which is extremely helpful when we suspect an injury or if your pet has swallowed something they shouldn’t have! Our Mansfield veterinary team will recommend radiology in many different instances. You don’t have to worry – radiological imaging is non-invasive and pain-free for your pet.
